Name the scheduled time first
Start with the order, parenting plan, calendar entry or agreement that created the expected time. Record the planned start, planned end, location and source reference. This lets a reviewer compare the expectation with the event.
Describe the attempted contact
Record when you arrived, what you did, who was present and what communication happened. If contact did not occur, write the observable outcome. Do not write that the other parent intended to block contact unless a source directly says that.
Preserve the complete thread
A cropped message may hide an agreement, offer of make-up time or safety issue. Save the full thread or export where possible. If you only have a screenshot, record its limits and keep the original device data.
Track make-up time and resolution
A missed visit followed by agreed make-up time is different from a missed visit with no response. Record offers, refusals, completion and ordinary contact after the event. Resolution helps the chronology stay fair.
Prepare a pattern without overstatement
Count repeated denied or missed time by date range. Include ordinary exchanges too. A professional can review the pattern more easily when each count links back to dated entries and source material.

LIMITS OR UNKNOWN FACTS:- Reviewable wording
Scheduled pickup 17:00 under ORD-02. Arrived 16:55. Message at 17:08 said child would not attend today. Full thread MSG-031 retained.
- Risky wording
They stole my time again and will never follow the order.
Six-week pattern example
A chronology should show both missed and completed time.
Friday contact completed as scheduled.
Friday contact did not occur; message stated child was unavailable.
Make-up time completed Saturday 10:00-14:00.
Friday contact completed with late start.
Friday contact did not occur; no message before exchange time.
Friday contact completed as scheduled.
Build a parenting-time record for professional review
Casewell keeps denied-time entries, complete message context, attachments and make-up time in one private timeline. When you need advice, export the relevant date range as a court-ready PDF for attorney review or mediation preparation.
Is denied visitation the same as a missed handover?
Sometimes they overlap. Missed handover focuses on the exchange event. Denied visitation focuses on scheduled parenting time that did not go ahead or was withheld.
Should I call police for denied visitation?
That depends on local law, safety and the order. This guide is for documentation, not enforcement advice. Ask a qualified local professional about urgent options.
Should I include make-up time?
Yes. Make-up time changes the practical picture and helps a reviewer understand whether the issue was resolved, repeated or left open.
