Your preparation summary
A useful next step
Maintain the records behind this preparation pack
Casewell keeps dated entries, supporting attachments and exportable reports together in one private custody journal.
This free tool stays available without an account. Its browser data is not transferred automatically.
Begin with the purpose of the meeting
Write the issue, decision or question that needs expert input. A focused purpose helps you select the relevant date range and prevents the meeting from becoming a tour of every difficult event.
Provide the current arrangement first
Include the complete current order, parenting plan or written agreement before listing alleged deviations. Identify the clause or term connected to each selected event without presenting your reading as a final legal conclusion.
Use a short chronology and evidence index
Give each key event one timeline row and point to the detailed note or source reference. Keep originals available separately. The summary should help the expert locate information quickly rather than replace it.
List gaps and questions openly
State where dates, sources or notes are unknown or disputed. End the pack with the practical questions you need answered. Accurate gaps are more useful than a polished narrative that hides uncertainty.
Make the pack easy to use in the room
Put a one-page index first: purpose, date range, three priority questions and the references for each key event. Number files consistently, keep originals in a separate folder and confirm the expert's preferred secure transfer method before sending anything sensitive.
Should I include every record I have?
Usually not in the working pack. Select records relevant to the meeting purpose and keep the complete archive separately.
Does this create a court filing?
No. It creates a planning checklist and summary. A qualified expert should advise on formal documents and filing requirements.
Does Casewell receive the checklist answers?
No. This free tool saves progress only in the browser on the device you are using.
